Our  Potluck dinner and program featuring Brazil on Saturday February 23 at 7:00pm  had great food and interesting insights into life in Brazil. These multi-cultural evenings are an inexpensive way to ‘travel’ the world. We invite you to join is on these 4th Saturday adventures. See schedule of films and dinners later on this page.

Saturday March 23 at 7:00pm. Free film “The Judge”. Documentary film about the first female Shari’a law judge in the Middle East. Dramatic and significant.

…..New material in the EXTRAS section .has weekly reports from Pat Davis about project in Peru to develop primers for local language instruction.

Although the following is not a Museum event, we like to encourage young people to explore  STEM topiocs. On March 30 from 9:30am to noon, there will be a major STEM Extravaganza event at Duncanville HS  cafeteria (900 Camp Wisdom Rd) sponsored by a national group called GirlStart. Promo says Fun for the Whole Family. The program is free and parents must remain with their child.  Activities for the day will include:  Navigate a maze with one of the world’s smallest robots; Make an instrument as you explore sound; Create your own unique LED bracelet; Launch catapults; Engineer wind-up cars to race with your friends. Folks need to RSVP online; search for North Texas STEM Extravaganza.

Monthly Cultural Event Schedule Download .  On the 4th Saturday of each month MIC invites anyone interested in learning about and experiencing other cultures to join us for a free movie (during odd months) or a culturally-inspired Pot Luck Dinner (during even months). These events are FREE and Open to The Public. The preliminary 2019 schedule is here, but dinner themes for August, October, and December may change.
