North Texas Giving Day is in t-minus 10 days, but you don’t have wait to make your gift to your favorite nonprofit! Today through September 19 you can visit NorthTexasGivingDay.org and schedule your donation to your favorite organization!
Here are a few ways you can get the party started early on North Texas Giving Day.
The annual North Texas Giving Day sponsored by Communities Foundation of Texas is Thursday Sept. 20. Thousands of nonprofits that are working on issues that affect our region are registered. .Make a donation of $25 or more to the Museum and increase our chances for bonus awards. You can donate at the website www.northtexasgivingday.org starting September 10; this reduces traffic to the site on September 20, but your credit card will not be billed until the 20th. Stop in at the Museum on Sept. 20 and enjoy some snacks with our staff..

In recognition of National Art Education Week, the Museum will have a special exhibit in the main hall for most of this month.
Saturday September 22
is the annual Smithsonian Museum sponsored free MUSEUM DAY.
This year, Museum Day will showcase Women Making History: Trailblazers in the arts, sciences, innovation & culture. At 2:00pm
on September 22 there will be a program and reception for Monique Jannette
, our current artist-on-display; she will talk about her works with appropriate musical accompaniment. Also, the Museum will have an exhibit about women authors, including some local women. Young people will have the opportunity to experience the materials in one of the Discovery Boxes that are rented to groups for their hands-on experience. Monthly Cultural Event Schedule Download 2018. On the 4th Saturday of each month MIC invites anyone interested in learning about and experiencing other cultures to join us for a free movie (during odd months) or a culturally-inspired Pot Luck Dinner (during even months). These events are FREE and Open to The Public.
Visit our International Expressions Gift Shop for interesting and unique items, with prices starting at $1. Stop by during regular Museum hours, 10:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday. Free parking and no fee to visit the gift shop.
