Saturday October 28
from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. International Pot-luck Dinner
and program about Cuba
. No fee. Please bring a dish (Cuban cuisine or other) or soft drinks / juice to share. The program will feature a talk by a woman who has led 3 recent visits to Cuba with her church group.
Saturday November 4 from 10:00am to 2:00pm. International Expressions Gift Shop with many items suitable for holiday gifting. The gift shop is also available on weekdays during regular Museum hours but this is your weekend opportunity. Items range from small souvenirs at $2.00 to museum-quality pieces. The event is organized by Sebastian Ortez; he has also posted many items on Craig’s List. .
November is Native American Heritage Month. Come and view interesting artifacts and an informative exhibit about tribes in the Texas area. Museum is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 to 4:00; entry fee of $5 (seniors & students) or $7.50 (adults). Also enjoy all the other exhibits about native groups from around the world.
Saturday November 25 at 7:00pm. International Film Series presents “Septembers in Shiraz”. After creating a prosperous life in Iran, a Jewish family may be forced to abandon everything as the revolution of 1979 looms on the horizon. Program is free and snacks will be available.
